MYIE2 WEB BROWSER VERSION 0.9.16.25 ............................................................................ "THE WAY WE SURF THE WORLD!" Home Page: Forum: Skins: Plugins: FAQ: Programming is by BloodChen with documentation by Taoran Rooor and graphics design by SiC. "MyIE2 is a powerful multi-tabbed browser based on the Microsoft Internet Explorer core (IE5.5 and above is recommended). It can open multiple web pages in just one window, with each page in a separate tab. It uses little system resources while surfing, has a high customizable user interface and supports special MYIE2 plugins and IE extensions. MyIE2 is freeware with no bound ads and needs no registration and has so many features that you will certainly find the ones you need"...quoting here from the home page at . There is both a COMBO and a LITE version, each distinguished by the number of on-board plugins packaged with the EXE. There is an interesting UCMORE search-engine toolbar, different from the GOOGLE toolbar in that it arranges retrieved search data by category. And while MyIE2 provides its own pop- up ad blocker, there is an AD MUNCHER shareware package offered as well. I chose to remove it from service. There are millions (Ok, hundreds) of unique and unusual plugins and skins to play with. Mr. BloodChen's browser appears to function quite well under Microsoft Windows XP Professional, however it crashed quite a bit under Microsoft Windows 98SE due to some apparent incompatibilites with Internet Explorer plugins, most notably the GOOGLE toolbar. A quick click over to the MyIE2 forum page produced some positive information on how to stop the crashing problem. I did install MyIE2 on a Microsoft Windows 95 machine but I haven't had the chance to test it as of this writing. The most recent version out as of this past week appears to address this problem. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: => If you are interested in sharing information on global amateur packet radio and amateur Internet devices -or- require additional detail on how to reach a specific locality, then please drop a line to the TELNET NEWS.
